Happy New Year

January 16, 2018

Hi all, I hope you're doing well and had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

2018 ended on a high note with being nominated for the best DJ award at the Scottish Wedding Awards but it was also a record year for the business and I only went and got married myself! I hope everyone of you had as good a year.

Looking to the future, 2018 has plenty in store for me personally and the business. The wedding awards are at the end of February. I don't expect to win but if I did it would be nice. Dare say I ever have kids or grandkids it would be nice to have something to show them that I was actually a pretty good DJ as opposed to some silly old duffer that sounds like Tony Blackburn...

On the business front, this is already a record January with half a dozen bookings confirmed since the 1st (not bad considering I spent the first week of the year on holiday) and plenty more to come. I look forward to performing at all of my couple's weddings. A lot of them in some favourite haunts of mine like Inglewood House where I kick things off on Saturday, the Colessio and House for an Art Lover. I'm also looking forward to seeing some new venues like Glamis Castle ( I so wish I could tell my Higher English teacher that despite messing about for the full year, the boy done good and is playing in one of the castles from MacBeth :D )

I hope you all have a great year lined up ahead of you too and look forward to working with all of my 2018 couples.

Jim
